Dithiocarbamates are organic fungicides, used preventively, and acting via foliar contact.
The method includes the non-selective search for molecules that are classed as dithiocarbamates: Maneb, Mancozeb, Metiram, Propineb, Thiram and Ziram.
Determination of Dithiocarbamate Metabolites:
The Vassanelli Vab is able to determine ETU (Ethylenethiourea) and PTU (Propylenethiourea), which are metabolites of dithiocarbamates.
Note:
These molecules, from a legislative point of view, are not considered pesticides but they are more toxic than the dithiocarbamates from which they derive.
