Soil analysis is an indispensable tool for maximising crop yield, optimising agronomic practices with a view to greater respect for the environment. It is now widely known how the support given by laboratory soil analysis facilitates the application of measures in the field so as to increase crop yields and quality. Analytical activity is certainly helpful in purely field activities and requires specific knowledge/competence to be able to provide information that is useful in order to:

- know the general characteristics of the site of agricultural production;

- maximise the efficiency of cultivation techniques;

- choose the varieties and rootstocks with the highest yields;

- identify element deficiencies, imbalances and excesses in the soil.

In terms of soil analysis for agronomic purposes, the services we offer are mainly organised on the basis of the resulting final information:

- identification of the general characteristics of the agricultural production site: the objective is to determine the chemical and physical characteristics that characterise the sample (e.g. composition) and the parameters that may influence mobility of nutrients (e.g. ph, organic substances, etc.).

- determination and quantification of the supply of nutrients useful for cultivation: the objective is to identify the degree of fertility of the soil, i.e. its ability to provide nutrients to the crops.

The Vassanelli Lab® Agribusiness Laboratory offers a series of analysis packages aimed at satisfying a range of needs (from complete analysis for new plantations to routine analyses for verifying the level of fertility of the soil).
