DESCRIPTION:
The method is suitable for the determination of:
- aldehydes (acetaldehyde and acetal),
- higher alcohols (propan-1-olo, butan-1-olo, butan-2-olo, 2-methylpropan-1-olo, 2-methylbutan-1-olo and 3-methylbutan-1-olo)
- ethyl acetate,
- methanol (methyl alcohol).
The determination takes place via GC-FID (gas chromatography with flame photometric detector).
It is necessary for verifying compliance with legal limits and for the export of alcoholic beverages.
