ION EXCHANGE CHROMATOGRAPHY - IC
Ion exchange chromatography, or simply ion chromatography (IC), is the type of chromatography that is based on the principle of attraction between oppositely charged ions.
This technique makes it possible to separate ions and it is useful for quantifying ions in wines, water or particular extracts of solid matrices (e.g. fruit and vegetables).
LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY - LC - LC-MS/MS
Liquid chromatography, often indicated by the abbreviation LC, is a set of analytical and preparation techniques.
In liquid chromatography the stationary phase is solid while the eluate and the mobile phase are liquid.

DISTILLATION - OFFICIAL DISTILLATION
Distillation is a technique used to separate two or more substances present in a mix, by exploiting the difference in their boiling points (or in other words, the difference in volatility).
It is used both to separate complex mixtures (obtaining several output mixtures, each with a different composition) and to purify single substances (obtaining as output flow the required substance at a higher degree of purity and, separately, an output stream containing the impurities present at input).
